Budlings

What are budlings?

Budlings are an omnivorous feral species that lived on the Comet (Mother Budling) in clumps called Colonies. When Mother struck Azaria, budling eggs and spores erupted, claiming lives and sticking to everything that came in contact.  Budlings are a highly adaptable species and can take over anything alive by digging their roots into wires, neurons, flesh and bone. These budlings reproduce asexually, spreading through spores that burst forth from their main bodies mouth, unsuspecting victims could inhale these spores through their respiratory system and spores travel through the bloodstream until the budling egg, called a purse, starts to form.

What is their purpose?

Budlings as a colony are broken up into many different groups, like bees and their hives, budlings have a queen of their own! These queens can be made through specially cared for purses and fed Mother's Nectre. Instead of the standard budling breaking free and chewing open their purse, Mother Budlings absorb their purse from the inside and in turn grow up to 5× their standard size!
